Cure for Sore Noses

There is nothing worse to me than a good ole summertime cold. And I have a hum-dinger of one right now which has made me think of this tip to give ya'll.

I hate it when my nose gets all red and raw from constantly having to blow my nose. Go and pull out the Balmex and smooth a little on before bedtime - when you wake up, you'll feel like you've got a whole new nose! No soreness or redness! The skin doesn't feel raw anymore! Just like it helps a baby's bottom! Don't rub it all the way in - leave it pretty thick just like you would on your baby. You're about to go to bed, so it doesn't matter what you look like!

Several years ago a co-worker gave me this tip and I swear it really works. It probably works with Desitin as well, but Balmex doesn't have the strong smell like Desitin does. But I guess you could use the Desitin to open up a stuffy nose just like putting Vicks under your nose. We just always had Balmex. I even did this some during the work day - just be sure to rub it in good and put a little powder over it - no one wants to go around with white stuff under their nose (unless you want your co-workers to point and stare at you!)

Hope this helps - my kids even ask for it since it makes their noses feel so much better. And it uses up those leftover tubes of cream you have if your little ones aren't so 'little' anymore.
